Translation fees are based on the level of complexity of the text, layout and format requirements, the mode of delivery of the source and target texts, and on the required turnaround time.
In most cases an electronic word count of the source text is used as a basis for calculating the fee. Creative texts such as ads and slogans are charged on an hourly basis.
Proofreading and editing of existing translations is charged on an hourly basis. In this case the rate can vary considerably depending on the quality of the initial translation.
